Lions Israel has been in existence for 50 years, ever since then Prime Minister David Ben Gurion asked his government secretary Teddy Kollek to ensure the organization would operate in the country. I am extremely proud to have been elected by Lions Israel members to be their 50th District Governor. Our District comprises 32 clubs spread across the country, from Nazareth in the north to Beer-sheva in the south.

We are very pleased with the volunteer activities for the sake of the community that take place on a daily basis, hour by hour, by our members. We are delighted with the help given to others and the impressive social achievements we have accomplished over this long period of time.

These achievements were acknowledged when we received the President's Volunteer Award in 2002/3 and I am confident that ahead of the next Jubilee we will continue to have every reason to feel even prouder. I pray to God that He will endow me with the wisdom and insight to lead our District in the coming year, the start of the next Jubilee, along the good and benevolent path to worthy achievements in the spirit of my slogan "We Serve with Love and Integrity".

As District Governor, I will personally always be ready to listen at any time to any member of any club on any ideas that may promote and advance our District in attaining our elevated goals.

I will also be readily available to answer any queries made by visitors to our site and gladly try to persuade anyone who approaches us to join forces with us and share the pleasure we feel in giving to others in need while being part of the largest international volunteering organization that has existed since 1917 and currently has a 1,350,000 members in some 45,000 clubs in over 200 countries and districts around the world.
